Chanel's Classic

"The Little Black Jacket" ist eine Hommage an die schwarze Kastenjacke, die Coco Chanel in den 1950er Jahren kreierte. Auf jedem (Schwarz-Weiß) Foto dieses Buchs wird die Jacke neu erfunden: Ob auf links gezogen, sorgfältig zugeknöpft oder um die Hüften geknotet, hat Karl Lagerfeld es auf seinen Photographien geschafft, die Jacke auf jedem Bild in den Mittelpunkt zu rücken, ohne dabei ihre Schlichtheit aus den Augen zu verlieren. Das Buch verdeutlich die Wandelbarkeit der Jacke und zeigt das "es Klamotten gibt, die sich immer wieder neu erfinden anstatt aus der Mode zu kommen". (-Roberto Juarroz)".

"The Little Black Jacket" is a hommage to the black boxy jacket that was created in the 50's by Coco Chanel. In every monochrome photograph of the book the jacket is reinterpreted: turned inside out, neatly buttoned-up or casually tied around the hips. Karl Lagerfeld constantly managed to put the spotlight onto the famous jacket. Naturally the simplicity of the it-piece is always captured in his photographs. The book truly illustrates the various facets of the little black jacket and shows that "there are clothes which keep rejuvenating themselves instead of getting worn out". (-Roberto Juarroz)

Blau ist die Farbe des Wassers sagt man, was für mich und meine Freundin Steph (die einen Fotografie-Blog hat) Grund genug war, mit dem Fahrrad an die Kieler Förde zu fahren um dort das Blau meines Outfits in Szene zu setzen. Ganz klassisch trug ich zu Jeans & Denimpullover weiße Turnschuhe -die mit Abstand bequemsten Schuhe die ich besitze! Ich habe lange nach Turnschuhen gesucht, war jedoch nie zufrieden, mal stimmte die Farbe nicht, mal die Form. Schließlich fand ich dieses Modell von Superga, das ich jedem empfehlen kann!

The colour blue represents all sorts of water, which was reason enough for me and my friend Steph (who recently started a photography blog herself) to bike down to the Bay of Kiel to put the colour blue of my outfit into the spotlight.
All conventionally I matched blue jeans and a denim jumper with white trainers - probably the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I've been looking a very long time for white trainers, but never seemed to find my perfect fit, sometimes I disliked the colour, other times the shape. Finally I found the exemplar of the Superga brand, which I can definitely recommend!

Reunited

Finally Célina had the chance to come to Kiel again. She arrived on the 21 April, which was her birthday and stayed until last saturday. Since she had to take a train from Hamburg in the evening, the two girls took advantage of it and spent their day in the city. After a look in a overcrowded Zara, they went to Balzac Coffee for a frozen yogurt and walked downtown, where one can find Cos, Mango and another Zara (which is way more organized!).
Of course both of them found something they couldn't resist to buy -which you will see anytime soon.

Célina a finalement eu de la chance de pouvoir retourner à Kiel pendant ses vacances. Elle est arrivée dimanche 21 avril, jour de son anniversaire, et est restée jusqu'à samedi. Puisqu'elle devait prendre le train pour repartir à Hamburg, les deux jeunes filles en ont profité pour passer la journée en ville. Après un passage dans un Zara bondé sur la Mönckebergstraße, elles ont pris un Frozen Joghurt chez Balzac Coffee et se sont rendues dans la centre-ville, où elles ont fait un tour chez COS, Mango, et dans un Zara (nettement mieux organisé!).

Nach einem halbem Jahr hatte Célina endlich wieder die Chance nach Kiel zu reisen. Sie kam am 21 April, ihrem Geburtstag, an und blieb bis letzten Samstag. Da sie für ihre Rückreise abends einen Zug von Hamburg aus nehmen musste, nutzen die beiden die Gelegenheit um den Tag in der Stadt zu verbringen. Nachdem sie einen Abstecher in das überfüllte Zara auf der Mönckebergstraße gemacht hatten, gingen sie auf einen Frozen Yogurt zu Balzac Coffee um dann in die Innenstadt zu laufen, wo es Cos, Mango und ein weiteres (besser organisiertes!) Zara gibt. Natürlich haben beide etwas gefunden, dem sie nicht widerstehen konnten -was ihr bestimmt bald hier sehen werdet.
